Hi There! I’m an artist. I create works that commemorate important life events as well as add joy to every day life. I'm here to create the art you want.
I am a multimedia artist based in Northern New York with over 10 years working with clay and much longer with paint. My work can involve anything from a tea pot shaped like your cat to a large painting, or jewelry.
I love working one on one with people to bring their ideas into reality. If you have an idea for something that you just can’t seem to find it anywhere, I want to hear from you.
My work is a fusion of art and craft that blurs the boundary between these traditions.
I attended Alfred University from 2002 to 2006, earning a BFA. I have attended Medalta International Artists Residency, The Penland School of Crafts, Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts, and the Women's Studio Workshop for residencies and workshops in ceramics. I also attended the Vermont Studio Center for a four-week residency in painting. My work has won numerous awards, been shown in various local galleries as well as venues in Canada, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York City.

Jan 8, 2016This was a last-minute idea for my wife for Christmas. Sara created it for me to my specifications under an extremely tight deadline and shipped it to me to arrive just in time for Christmas (huge thanks for that). The plate is fantastically made, sturdy and with a great texture and finish. My only (very minor) issue is that the hand-painted names and date look a bit amateur, they don't match the professional look of the rest of the design on the plate, like they were drawn on with a sharpie. But, I am very happy with the total result and, more importantly, my wife loves the plate. I will definitely consider Sara again when I want another decorative dish.

Aug 28, 2014I wanted to make a special gift for my mentor at the end of a summer internship, but was in a crunch for time. Sara took on my project, time restraint included, and delivered a beautiful piece that would be ready by the time I needed it. I ended up having my end date extended and let Sara know so she wouldn't have to rush shipping. She decided to not let that time go to waste and took it upon herself to add some finishing touches and another layer of glaze to the cup to make the colors really pop! I could not be more satisfied with the piece and neither could it's recipient. He loved it! I will definitely keep Sara in mind if I need another custom project done. She is professional, timely, and flexible, but those are all bonuses to her TALENT! I highly recommend her work.
