Silver And Acrylic Half Shell Earrings
Modern but playful, these earrings are comfortably light. The shape is formed from argentium silver, an alloy that resists tarnish and so requires less care an cleaning than sterling. The blue drops are hand carved from an acrylic that plays with light, and are attached in such a way that they move as you do. The carved elements can be executed in a number of materials: wood, acrylic, bakelite, stone, etc.

I specialize in unconventional jewelry using sterling silver combined with vitreous enamel (glass) or alternative materials like wood, plastic, corian, jet, bone, horn, and stone. My jewelry is primarily one-of-a-kind, although I can recreate past work for a customer. And I love the process of creating custom pieces based on a customer's criteria… the resulting piece is often a great source of inspiration for me!
