Maker Marketplace is a perfect outlet for me. I make customized pottery items from my small home studio in West Bend, Wisconsin.
I don't have much extra space, so I like to concentrate on making projects that are exactly what you want. I enjoy very unique commissions.
Odyssey Arts takes commissioned orders for custom pottery items, and portraits.
I also do business as Odyssey Urns, specifically making custom urns for People and Pets. I would love to help you Create a Unique Legacy!
The urns you see here are examples to show the quality and type of work I do. My examples are meant to give you inspiration and ideas about who you are and how you want to be remembered: your interests, your accomplishments, your hobby or business, etc.
I also make conte (a hard pressed charcoal in earth tone colors) drawing portraits.

For Hilary's memorialI am so happy with this project. It came out so much nicer than I ever imagined. When I first began communicating with Rose, I had a totally different vision of what I wanted. She helped me morph it into something possible. My idea had very weak integrity and, in order to strengthen it, we would have had to sacrifice the visual appeal. So we talked about it for a few weeks and came up with an even better idea. This was a memorial for my son that also includes his surviving twin. They look so realistic. It brought me to tears when I saw it. It is truly a beautifully incredible work of art. And talking to Rose was so nice. She really cares about her work. You can tell. And she is so patient. I wish i could better express how awesome she was throughout the entire process. If I could, I'd give her a big hug. This sculpture is so special. I know my son will still have it long after I'm gone, and he is still just a baby. This will always and forever be in my family. Thank you Rose!!

For baroque plaqueI gave the maker Odyssey Arts all As. She was really fun to work with. She took the time to understand the ins and outs of what I wanted which was unusual and not so easy for many I would think. And I could really tell that she enjoyed the process. Her passion for her work and care for the customer is reflected in a beautiful one of the kind piece of art. I would really recomend her particularly if the project is something that you wouldn't entrust to just anyone and where a lot of communication is necessary. In addition I found her charming and personable which made working with her really easy.

For Nautical Eight Mug Set ProjectRose was amazing! She worked with me every step of the way to make sure that the mugs were exactly what we wanted, and really worked with our aesthetic. My husband and I adore the mugs-- and they were a big hit at Thanksgiving :)
