Black And White Scraffito
Somethings just look great in black and white! …..and maybe a touch of red! I am so excited about my new body of work. The possibilities are endless, and the story it tells is quite dramatic! I have started with a mid-range porcelain clay, covered it with a nice black slip, and then carved away the black slip to reveal the nice white porcelain. These pieces were put back into the kiln for a final clear glaze…. making these pieces quite functional. I think this style would be great for a special commemorative platter or plaque. And would be absolutely fabulous for an urn, to tell a Life Story. Just email me your ideas….. I am sure I can make it work.

I highly recommend this artist, the urn came earlier than she promised and I am very happy with it. In rescue (fostering and our own dogs), you tend to suffer loss a lot, unfortunately.
