Hand-built out of clay and glaze fired in my kiln. Silhouette of a bride and groom. The groom is holding a fishing pole, made from wire. The line on the wire fishing pole twists around to make the initials of the happy couple circled in a heart! The silhouette is made from thin clay just 1/4 inch thick with a tab that inserts down into the cake. Let me know the wedding date and I can add it to the tab on the bottom if you would like. Durable, long lasting, dishwasher safe.

Maker Marketplace is a perfect outlet for me. I make customized pottery items from my small home studio in West Bend, Wisconsin.
I don't have much extra space, so I like to concentrate on making projects that are exactly what you want. I enjoy very unique commissions.
Odyssey Arts takes commissioned orders for custom pottery items, and portraits.
I also do business as Odyssey Urns, specifically making custom urns for People and Pets. I would love to help you Create a Unique Legacy!
The urns you see here are examples to show the quality and type of work I do. My examples are meant to give you inspiration and ideas about who you are and how you want to be remembered: your interests, your accomplishments, your hobby or business, etc.
I also make conte (a hard pressed charcoal in earth tone colors) drawing portraits.

For ceramic plateRose seemed enthusiastic about this relatively simple project of a small square plate or tray. She presented me with an excellent creation story, though it took her a while to get around to it. The plate was delivered pretty much on time and it is a handsome product. The plate sits on top of a wooden cube which has a special symbolic meaning for me and is meant to hold a candle.

For Memory of a lost childRose was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was extremely good at communicating with me during the entire process. Any time I had a question, she answered me very quickly, usually within a couple of days, most often the same or next day! As I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do, and made some changes in the process, she was extremely flexible with my requests, and made me feel comfortable asking her to do them.
Rose treated my project with care and compassion, and my wife loved it. It turned out better than I imagined. As an artist of sorts (I am a musician) I understand the importance of leaving room for an artist to put their own selves and creativity into a project they're working on, and she was able to add touches and creativity to fill out my vision better thatn I pictured. She is extremely competent.
I highly recommend working with Rose Belschner. She will definitely meet your satisfaction, as she did mine.

For Customized Dog UrnExtremely responsive, kept me up to date with the progress and was very easy to work with. I highly recommend this artist, the urn came earlier than she promised and I am very happy with it. In rescue (fostering and our own dogs), you tend to suffer loss a lot, unfortunately. It's sad to think ahead, but I will definitely get another urn from Rose when the next furkid goes to the bridge. Thank you Rose for Hazel Buttons' beautiful urn <3

For Nautical Eight Mug Set ProjectRose was amazing! She worked with me every step of the way to make sure that the mugs were exactly what we wanted, and really worked with our aesthetic. My husband and I adore the mugs-- and they were a big hit at Thanksgiving :)
