David Voorhees Pottery in Western North Carolina makes a full range of functional and decorative porcelain and stoneware. Many of his porcelain pieces are hand painted or carved with floral and leaf motifs and oxidation fired to a luminous state. David's recent work is focused on wood firing and salt/soda glazing both stoneware and porcelain using a variety of glazes and flashing slips.
David has worked for years making custom items for patrons across the US and abroad. Dinnerware, lamps, commemorative pieces, funerary urns are some of the more popular items he has made for his customers.
