Vintage 1920'S Hat Elaborate Lace Rhinestone Beaded Wedding
Elaborate 1920's vintage style wedding cloche hat in white with metallic silver threads, rhinestones, glass bugle beads and sequins perfect for a bride or gala event. This hat is gorgeous. It has been made by hand blocking cotton buckram and covered in a transparent white chiffon and placed a heavily beaded and sequined fabric over the chiffon. The fabric is made of tulle and is embroidered in a floral print using fine silver metallic thread. It has three dimensional flowers which have large rhinestone and beaded centers. This fabric is valued over $100.00 a yard, finest fabric available. I have applied the fabric by cutting out the design and hand stitching it to the hat as if it were a intricate applique. The hat band and bound brim are done in a white bridal satin. An heirloom quality hat for any special occasion. If you are looking for a custom hat please keep me in mind. I have always been a maker of things. My first memory of making things was when I was a little girl. I would cut up old sheets while sitting on the living room floor and try to figure out how all the pieces could be fit together to make something. My fascination with fabric has never been far from my mind. I have always had needle and fabric in my hands. I started designing my own cloths in Jr high and never stopped, some 40 years ago. I have always had a love for hats. When I discovered the internet I knew I could now make and sell my hats. I am so excited to have found a place to share and grow my love of hats.
I offer custom made and ready to wear hats. Hat designs from the 1900's Victorian era past the Roaring 20's flapper days and beyond the World War II Bombshell hats. A hat shop dedicated to the fashions of the past with a connection to the styles of today.
