Sleep Paralysis

Handmade in Elgin, Illinois by Belly Up Pub Hub

$1,360.65+

I was commissioned by a custommade.com customer who wanted a miniature variation on a lifesize statue depicting the struggles of a disorder called sleep paralysis from the late 1800's. The final version was carved from poplar wood showing sinister winged demon atop a sleeping woman struggling with paralysis in her sleep. It was carved using various motorized and rotary carving tools. It was then detailed and fine-sanded before sprayed with a stone-like paint finish to simulate a stone-stone carved look. It will be a showcase item in his home in Florida.

I make custom bar furniture and man cave items to make your space one-of-a-kind. My tiki bar stools are available for homes or businesses and can be used indoors or outdoors. Business bar stools can be customized with company logo carved into the seat back and can be mounted or movable. Great matching pub tables are being developed also. I have been doing functional artwork for more than 20 years and look forward to making your space a one-of-a-kind haven that becomes a magnet for friends and/or customers.

What a great pleasure to work with Joel from Belly Up Pub Hub. He worked with me to fine tune a custom made sign. His communication was timely and he was able to make my vision to perfection with just a couple emails. He even got it done and shipped in time for a Christmas present. I would highly recommend him and would certainly use him again in the future. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing original work, more than exceeded my expectations and the pictures didn't do the finished product justice. Absolutely something to treasure forever.
