Cleveland Ohio's baseball team has been renamed the 'Guardians' in honor of the Guardians of Transportation landmarks on one of the city's major bridges. This tribute piece gives the illusion of being 3-Dimensional by using glazes to add 'shading' to individual tiles! Due to our patent pending tile veneering process, we can create wall art, mirrors, fountains and more in abstract shapes such as this Guardian statue. We are a mother/daughter team of artisans who are assisted by our 19 year old son/brother who is aUtistic and even moreso aRtistic! Read his story here:
Our style here at Miche Mozaix is totally different from 'traditional' mosaics and our tiles are NEVER broken. Every piece we make begins as soft clay which is then cut to fit our original designs. Glazes are then added and the pieces are fired. Finally, we connect the bits and pieces with grout to make a necklace or a mirror, or a pair of earrings or a fountain or WHATEVER !! This process allows us to get a variety of really cool shapes, textures, etc. and we love the chance to share all of our creations with YOU!
We especially enjoy creating designs for corporate gifting and assisting interior designers with their projects.
