The Mountain Mist at Dawn Chimney Cupboard….. An Old School Custom Furniture Original… Our charming and very useful chimney cupboard is made of solid hardwood with a painted, distressed and aged finish. Cupboard is 47 tall X 19 1/2 Wide X 13 Deep. The chimney cupboard features a raised panel door and 3 shelves. Shown in cherry wood painted British Red over Rittenhouse Blue, as well as plain Rittenhouse Blue with medium distressing and aged finish. Our chimney cupboard is also available in any of the 24 stock colors on our color chart. Here at Old School Custom Furniture we are lucky to own our own sawmill. We mill and dry our own lumber, which gives us an extraordinary amount of control over the quality of wood we use in your chimney cupboard. On stained pieces, it gives us the ability to perfectly match panels and doors. We much prefer working with hardwoods, and having our own mill allows us to use more expensive, durable hardwoods for the same price as other furniture artisans using soft pine. We have designed this particular finish for those who like the look of primitives, but want a slightly more refined less distressed look. Our chimney cupboard has the look and distressing of an old primitive piece, yet also looks distinctly more refined than a heavily distressed piece. It is specifically made to appeal to the discriminating buyer who enjoys the ambiance and patina of old furniture, but likes the looks and functionality of a new heirloom quality piece. Stock colors for our chimney cupboard are shown on the color chart. If you are unsure what the color will look like, we can send you a wood sample of the distressed, aged color before finishing your piece.This cupboard is also available in stained walnut, cherry or oak We can also use our customers custom color requests to match anything you like. Custom colors are an additional $15. To do a custom color, we will need the manufacturer name and the color number. If you need this in a slightly different size, we can do that for an additional charge. We take great pride in our chimney cupboard, and all cupboards are made by myself and my wife in our shop in the beautiful rolling hills of Jefferson County MO.
