Area served: We are located in the St Louis MO area, but we ship anywhere. Shipping Methods: Items are shipped either UPS, US Mail, BusFreighter or Common Carrier Freight. Our bigger pieces (beds, large kitchen cabinets, etc) must be shipped common carrier freight. Smaller items such as dog feeders, small chimney cupboards, etc can go US Mail or UPS. Medium sized items can go either UPS or BusFreighter. BusFreighter is typically up to 70% less than UPS, but must be picked up at a Greyhound bus terminal. BusFreighter offers a service that will have a courier deliver the item from Greyhound to your home for an additional charge.

This is one of our best sellers! Our hand crafted dining room cupboard/china hutch is a wonderful addition to any dining room or kitchen. Shown here in aspen, this cupboard is also available in cherry, walnut, oak, or the wood of your choice (wood choices that we don't have in stock will incur an additional fee) This cabinet/cupboard is also available as a distressed piece in any of our stock colors shown in the photo section. If you don't like the distressed look, it is also available in plain paint in any of our stock colors. We also can work with custom colors, as long as you supply the paint manufacturer name, color name and color code. This 2 piece cupboard features plenty of storage space in the base, as well as an abundance of storage space in the glass fronted upper cabinet. Here at Old School Custom Furniture, we do things the old fashioned way, with pride in our work and attention to detail. Our china cabinet/dining room cabinet/glass front cupboard measures 85 inches high X 50 inches wide X 18.5 inches deep. Our hutch features 3 shelves in the upper glass fronted cabinet and 2 shelves in the base cabinet. Why order a mass produced hutch or china cabinet made of inferior wood….or maybe even particle board or plywood? Old School Custom Furniture always uses select hardwoods, and our china cabinet or dining room cabinet is about the same price as the low quality, mass produced "furniture" available from many furniture retailers. For the price of a mass produced hutch, you could have a hand crafted, heirloom quality china cabinet that can be passed down from generation to generation in your family. This china cabinet is available in your choice of any of our stock painted colors, your custom color, or stained. If using a custom color of your choice, we will need the manufacturer and color name and number. Old School Custom Furniture is a small custom furniture company. Old School consists of myself and my wife, Jim and Mary Shelby. We have a small workshop on 15 wooded acres in the beautiful rural hills 1 hour outside of St Louis MO. We also own a sawmill and kiln, so we cut and dry our own lumber, giving us unprecedented control over the clarity and quality of the wood we use.

This also gives us the option to make extremely sentimental pieces handcrafted from trees on property special to our customers, such as a hope chest crafted from a tree on a grandparents property!! While not an option for everyone, this option can be extremely sentimental to some customers. Please note, for us to use lumber from your property, it must be possible to get the lumber to us!

In addition, we are also one of a very small number of artisans using higher quality, more durable hardwoods for our painted furniture. We use cherry or walnut that is not clear enough for stained furniture to make our painted pieces. We prefer hardwoods for the quality and durability it possesses compared to the pine used for most painted furniture.

We specialize in Shaker, Mission and Antique Reproduction pieces.
We use any type of finish you prefer. Some of our more popular finishes are hand rubbed oils, as well as painted, distressed and antiqued reproduction pieces.
