This is a Turkish Style recurve archery bow, made principally with Hickory and Luan wood for the limbs, with figured Maple handle and tips and Walnut inserts. The faces of the limbs feature carved and gilt vines as an embellishment on the original design. The bow is intended only for use as a sport accessory for target shooting. This is not a weapon for hunting, nor for harming any person, and I require any of my works to be immediately destroyed should they be used to harm another human being. Some sporting details; the string was handmade custom for this bow from kevlar thread that I purchased, the draw weight is about 40 pounds, and the wood is finished with a gloss polyurethane topcoat.
