Cherry Component Cabinet
This cabinet is built of solid cherry (furniture grade cherry plywood was used for the cabinet bottom and shelves). The aim of the design was to store audio/video equipment in the client's living room without the cabinet looking like a typical media storage unit. The solid cherry top has an inlay of Ribboned Sapele that is offset along the top's perimeter. To aid in the movement necessary to occasionally connect/disconnect cables and cords, the cabinet has casters set inconspicuously within its base. The finish is a shellac base coat to bring out the beauty of natural cherry, followed by protective topcoats of Milesi Spa waterbourne polyurethane. Dimensions: 36" W x 20"D x 30" H
