Describe your ideas for style and design: I'd like to have a box that my girlfriend can use to store her jewelry or keepsakes. Ideally it would have hidden hinges on top. I'm thinking it would look similar to a heart shaped box of chocolates, approximately the same size. One feature I'd really want to have included would be a false bottom with a small loop of ribbon in the middle that could be used to lift the bottom up. The bottom compartment would have to be about an inch deep. The ribbon should have the both ends loose on the other side so a ring could be tied to it from underneath. I plan on filling the box with small heart-shaped pieces of paper listing something I love about her on each piece. Once she clears the paper hearts out she can lift the false bottom up and remove it from the box to see her engagement ring tied to the ribbon underneath. The biggest issue I have is time. I'd love to have this ready for her by Christmas… What do you plan on using the box to store?: Jewelry Height: 6 - 8 inches Width: 6-8 inches Depth: 3 - 4 inches Describe any specific features you'd like: hidden hinges on the top.     I was searching for a one of a kind custom jewelry box for my wife's birthday and found CustomMade and Chris' store. The unique design on his vertical necklace and earring shelves are unlike anything I had seen before and made the most sense given the confined space the box would ultimately be stored. It did take a few days to get an initial response but once I did I got timely responses to all my questions and we went back and forth on design till it was settled with a proposal. They say good things take time and this is true, be prepared to wait, it took about 3 months, but it was worth it. The craftsmanship is stellar, you can tell Chris has worked a long time at this skill. The box is solid and heavy (real wood). The drawers are all smooth action and fit snugly. This is a box that will become an heirloom, which you can only get from quality custom made products.

    I cannot say enough positive things about Chris and his work. The finished jewelry box is beautiful. The workmanship is phenomenal! My wife was speechless. Needless to say, she absolutely loves it! I was a little worried about the shipping aspect but Chris packaged it to ensure nothing would happen during delivery. There was no less than three layers of bubble wrap protecting this masterpiece. I would highly recommend Chris and his work. I will definitely be using him again in the future when I need something custom made.
