The walnut has an exceptional color and grain pattern and some bright white maple butterfly joints provide a nice contrast and visual interest. The bases are made from dark hot-rolled steel, with sanded welds, and are finished with a matte industrial-grade powdercoat. The non-toxic, health-counscious finish on the tops is resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices, milk and water etc. according to German Industrial DIN 68861 - 1C and complies EURO-NORM EN 71 (suitable for children's toys). This finish makes product care simple and easy. In most cases all that's needed is an occasional wipe-down with a soft cloth dampened with water.
