Gourmet Cutting Boards
I've made and sold over 8,000 cutting boards, butcher blocks, wood countertops, and butcher block islands. With all this experience, I've learned that end-grain cutting boards require several things to stand the test of time: First, the maker must be extremely precise. Your tools have to be dialed in exactly and you have to pay careful attention to wood movement and craftsmanship. Second, you have to use the right materials. Food-safe mineral oil, Titebond 3 glue, rock maple, cherry, and walnut. I love making them and would be happy to craft one (or 100) to your exact specifications.

John is a custom woodworker who made his first piece of furniture in shop class in 1984. Since then, he has completed hundreds of woodworking projects. In 2011, John launched LoneStar Artisans, a company dedicated to finding and celebrating the best artisans in Texas.
