Mission Style Lectern
Strong. Solid. Handsome. That's an accurate description of The New Mission Workshop's vision of the mission lectern. Made of all quarter-sawn white oak, this massive structure is as solid mechanically as it is visually.  The New Mission Workshop lectern features raised panels, corbel supports under the main table, a privacy gate, and a removable book riser - for those times when you need to use an overhead projector, computer, or other apparatus. The legs, massive at 4 inches across, are also quarter-sawn on all four sides - unheard of today. Joinery features mortise and tenon construction. Materials: Quarter-sawn white oak, with Paduak. Dimensions: Approximately 40"H x 36"W x 36"D Finish: Aniline dye, with semi-gloss polyurethane topcoat

Dec 31, 2016Communication is the best part about working with Patrick! If he had any question he immediately sent a message and was meticulous about making sure the finished product would meet my expectations. I was a little disappointed when I received my stand when I saw a very sharp protrusion on the side - to try and cover it would ruin the aesthetics of the piece. I work with young children and hope this isn't a problem. Delivery was delayed by 3 days because I wasn't asked if I would be home -- I was out of town and the shipment was in limbo. Make sure when your product is shipped that someone will be around all day to sign for the delivery.

Nov 15, 2015It was extremely easy to work with Patrick on this project. He was open to the custom changes I needed (made out of cherry, and fit to hold a violin rather than a ukelele), and the final product was fantastic. It did take a bit longer than I initially hoped, but Patrick was up front with the time line and the final piece arrived at my door faster than initially estimated. The stand was well packaged and in great shape. It is a beautiful piece of work, and I am thrilled with the final result. It is my first time using the CustomMade website, and I will definitely try it out again.

The finished piece arrived with very minor imperfections...due to shipping..but was easily mendable. We are looking forward to using Patrick's wonderful talent with woodworking in future projects..he really knows his craft and spends that extra focus on a great attention to detail!!
