Sapele And Birdseye Maple Piano Bench
This is a Sapele piano bench with a birdseye maple veneered top. The bench is made from solid Sapele complete with turned sapele legs. The inside of the bench opens up to reveal pomelle sapele veneered interior. The top of the bench is edged with solid pommelle sapele wood. The bench is finished with super blond shellac rubbed to a satin sheen and coated with a layer of wax for protection. This bench was made to match an existing mahogany piano from the 1920's. One more example of how I do my very best to meet all of my customers needs individually. I really enjoying designing my projects around someone else's idea. That is what custom work is all about.

I build a variety of furniture in my small shop here in Norfolk Nebraska. I like working with my customer to come up with original designs and enjoy the challenge of taking something from concept to functional artwork. No project is too big or too small. Each holds its own challenges. I enjoy working with exotic woods and veneers. They add beauty that can only be found in handmade furniture. Wood is my passion and I encourage you to ask questions as it is only in the dialogue between customer and craftsman that true art can really emerge.
