This eye-catching reclaimed wood kitchen island cart is just one of our many custom handmade products we offer. The kitchen work station includes a durable 1.5" thick butcher block, but could be made without it if you wish to install your own. The butcher block overhangs the base 1" on each side of this hand-crafted piece, while carefully selected reclaimed wood adorns the back side of this island as well as the cabinet door, which pulls out on drawer rails to reveal a trash bin compartment (trashcan not included). Among many other configurations, the drawer could be made into two smaller drawers for utensil and cookware storage or smaller cabinet doors with internal shelving for dry goods storage. The back and cabinet door can also be constructed with a different reclaimed wood to achieve more color variation, or solid steel panels and more decorative rivets can be added if you prefer a more industrial look. This workstation is also constructed with open storage shelves on the end but can be enclosed with a door to create a cabinet area or replaced with pull out drawers to maximize the island's utility. Above the open storage shelves is a cart push handle to make relocating your mobile industrial kitchen island an easy task, as well as being able to be used as a table-side service cart in a restaurant setting. The asymmetrical cabinet construction lends itself to this piece's modern and stylish appearance, and the large trolley style casters give this piece a rugged and durable, yet classic look. We can also build yours with straight legs or a platform base if you prefer a stationary kitchen island.
