Rustic Hickory And Steel Desk With A Natural Edge

$1,200

The file cabinet is not included! The desk stands 30" tall 54" long , 21" inches deep. Made with Solid hickory and powder coated steel supports. The hickory measures about 1.75" thick so they can support a lot of weight! The finish on the wood is satin oil and poly. The solid steel supports are 2 1/2" wide and 1/2" thick powder coated to the color of your choice. In the picture it is finished with a satin black. The desk is very sturdy and weights about 100lbs fully assembled. Your desk would be a little different because every slab of wood is different. It would be finished the same but with different grain and knot locations. I can make slab wood out of cherry, walnut, ash, or hickory. The piece comes flat packed and will take about 30 minutes to assemble. I can do custom orders for different types of wood and different colors of steel for an extra charge. Please note that different woods may have a higher price because they may cost more from the lumber mill. Each desk is custom and please allow 4 to 5 weeks for delivery! Everything is hand made in the USA.

The process of making each piece is as or more important to myself as the final piece. I try to keep my customers informed of the processes I am using while making their specific works of art or furniture. While I am working with a piece of furniture or piece of art the materials I use come from specific choices of color combinations, textures, contrast and overall appearance. Often while I work the ideas I have change while working with different materials because the material might respond differently then expected. This changes the project I am working and future projects. I have been trained as an architect so I love to design and building with my own hands. I am passionate about great design.

Please feel free to inquire about your specific project you have been dreaming about and I will do my best to make that dream become a reality.
