Bronze Sculpture, Great Grey Owl
Earth Eagle Forge LLC creates sculptures by welding and carving those welds. Non-cast bronze owl sculpture mounted onto a stainless steel branch with a copper frog. Each element of this sculpture had to be created individually. The owl from bronze sheet metal, piece by piece, feather by feather. The stainless steel branch from pieces of sheet metal and the copper frog from copper sheet metal. Once all three were completed, they were brought together to complete this commission. This sculpture was a commissioned piece. Process can be seen in one of the videos in my portfolio. Keep in mind the price listed is 'starting' price. Prices vary depending on the size, detail and amount of time it takes to create your metal art. We require a small design fee of $150.00. This covers the work of two sketches and one final. Design fees pay for the hours required to sketch ideas and concepts for you to view. If an order is placed, the design fee will be refunded on the final payment of your project. If no orders are placed, no design fee refund. Pricing of any new project is driven by the amount of time it takes to create your art piece. Paula Jensen is a self taught metal artist. Her art career began in college studying life drawing and painting techniques. Paula began to experiment with forge work and metal creation, with her millwright husband's tutelage. Within a few years Paula was designing and then creating custom works for clients through her business Earth Eagle Forge LLC.
Paula likes to have her clients involved in the design process that personalizes each piece she creates for her clients for site specific art. She is a diverse artist creating functional art as well as purely sculptural.

For Fireplace Screens5.0I am so happy I was able to find Paula and Larry at Earth Eagle Forge! The work on my custom firescreen is EXQUISITE. I don't think I could have found a more skilled artisan for this project. Paula is such a professional - very thorough, timely, courteous and honest. I asked for a very large, detailed piece to be mounted on an uneven rock surface and she was able to pull it off and contain the cost as much as possible without sacrificing the artistic integrity of the piece. I was kept up to date and involved in the entire process. Because of bad weather we were forced to wait a few days before we could uncrate the firescreen (torture!) and we'll need to wait a few more days before installing as its going on our covered fireplace outside, BUT, I can not wait to post pictures of this amazing piece. I would not hesitate to work with Earth Eagle Forge again for any future projects - thanks Paula!!!
