These two oil paintings on canvas were ordered to be uncompleted for shots in the movie "Being Awesome". The character Blake Saracen played by Sean McBride in the movie would be in the process of painting the works. In the movie the character is instructed in his art class to paint a picture of his family and an autobiographical self portrait. The film was shot in Memphis, TN and is set to premier in 2013. I had great fun making these paintings with instructions from the director. I can't wait to see the finished movie. I created these in the same way that I would an actual portrait, this were just never meant to be completed. The tan coloring in the background is my ground color which is then built upon with thin layers of pigment to achieve the final result.

Christina was GREAT! She stepped up when another maker didn't respond to my request and sent pictures and kept me updated through the whole process. I would definitely work with her again!
I am super happy with the final project. Christina was very professional, sent me numerous updates and photos while progressing with the project. As soon as she was finished she sent it right out along with a tracking number. I received the pacakge in just a couple days. If I was to need another painting I would absolutely work with her again, as well as recommending anyone else to work with her as well.
Excellent work though the timeline was a little tight, and good communication to help give me what I wanted!
I am completely ecstatic about the finished product. The details were exquisite. My overall experience with Ms. Miller was exceptional.
Christina from Sophia's Room was amazing. She kept me abreast of each step of the project she was working on for my husbands special birthday gift. It was the first time I truly found him to be speechless as she took the idea from concept to finished art piece. My husband loves his Busagnashi and is very proud to own this fine piece of art.
