Nick and Crystal were opening a new retail store in Austin, selling locally made foods that represent the taste of Texas. They were in a pinch with time and turned to CustomMade to have their storefront sign made. I checked out their website to see the logo they wanted on the sign, and made a simple model for them to show my interest. From there, we worked together, changing the colors and shape of my original model. Upon being awarded the job, I had only a week and a half before their opening day. Considering shipping time from Massachusetts to Texas, I knew I'd be pulling some late nights to make this happen. At the end of each night I sent Nick and Crystal pictures of the progress so that they could sleep easy knowing I was keeping to my opening-day promise. The sign was complete after 3 nights and only needed to dry before being shipped in priority mail, arriving 2 days early. The sign is cut out of a 3/4" thick panel. The logo is engraved and painted. The entire sign is coated in a thick, weatherproofing spar varnish.

We were on a tight time constraint to get a wooden sign with our logo on it for the front of our new retail store. While submitting our proposal to a few makers, we stared communicating with Sean and immediately knew he would be the perfect fit. Sean had extremely timely communication, immediately grasped our concept, had additional ideas that made the sign even better than we pictured, kept us updated on the progress daily, and produced a high quality product in a short time frame.
