Custom Heat Patina Titanium Japanese Chainmail Bracelet

$150+
4.9(15 reviews)

This bracelet is made from all titanium parts that have been received a heat patina. After the chain is assembled, a torch with a low flame is passed over the piece until the desired colors are reached, this process is completely random, so you never know what you will get. The chainmail pattern used is called Japanese 8in2.

Hello, my name is Patrick Ober and I have been making custom chainmail armour and jewelry since 1992. Beginning in 2000 I have begun to specialize in chainmail jewelry, everything from finger rings and earrings to heavy necklaces. Each item is hand made, one at a time using a combination of fabricated and purchased clasps and other findings.

Each piece of jewelry or armour starts out as raw wire or sheet that is formed and bent into its final form. I work primarily with sterling silver, fine silver, titanium, bronze/brass, and various steels for armour. I also make a variety of classical Loop in Loop Chains that are based on ancient Mediterranean examples.

Very easy to work with, and puts up with a lot of requests and indecision. Already have a 3rd project on the way and thinking of a 4th.

Hi Patrick this was a very good experience. The only thing was that, and perhaps I misunderstood the diameter of the chainmail was 3/8 but when it arrived it is closer to 1/2". The only other thing was the shipping a little steep, but is was my request. Nice workmanship otherwise. Karl
