Reclaimed Console Table With Drawers

$750

Our console table is a popular item. Inspired by Anna White's designs, this table is lengthened slightly to 80". NOTE: While the wood in the photos is new, tables we build now are exclusively from reclaimed wood. The drawers on this table come with smooth running, soft close sliders and open and close like a dream. The finish on this table is one we are very proud of. The stain was laid down in 3 coats, one of walnut, which was then lightly sanded, then a mahogany coat, followed by another walnut application. From there we applied 6 coats of satin finish over four weeks to let them harden well between coats. The finish is exceptionally deep and beautiful without looking thick. Estimated time and price below is with a clear coat finish, not the deep satin finish

Cooper's Custom Projects is a small wood shop where we have a passion for building well-constructed kitchen and dining room tables, coffee tables, unique shelves, entertainment centers, console tables, children's furniture, toys and more.

Ours is a home-based business, so we have lower overhead but still have a high-quality process and facility with a large shop and dedicated clean paint-room.

We specialize in building rustic and homey furniture, but also have experience with built-ins, cabinets, and modern furniture. We also build most of our projects out of reclaimed wood to help the Earth and to give your new piece some added history and character.

Depending on your needs we source new or reclaimed wood from local mills in New England.

Cooper's Custom Projects also has a passion for finishes, both painted and stained. We know that it takes more time to apply the finish to most projects than it did to build it and we love to spend that time making your project look amazing and last a lifetime.

Drop us a line if you have any questions about what we can make for you!

Michael is a talented woodworker and a real pleasure to work with. Throughout the project he communicated with me clearly and often, helping me envision exactly the desk I needed, keeping me informed about progress, and asking for my input when needed.
The result is terrific, a small desk I will use and appreciate for a very long time.
    I highly recommend Michael.

Awesome desk! Michael made some suggestions to my initial idea such as a cable management system that I didn't even realize I wanted, but now I'm very glad to have! Also provided some guidance on the size of the desk that proved helpful.

He responded quickly to my questions and it was finished by the date I had requested.

The quality of the piece is excellent and great value too!

    Highly recommended

The project was the "Industrial-Mill Inspired Desk" in a custom size. The table top is nice and shipping/delivery to the Boston area was an easy experience. My main concern is that the edges on the legs are quite sharp, even though they were spec'd as being rounded (which the table top is). Michael even took the desk back to his shop after first showing it, to us to take off some of the sharpness. It was hard to be too critical at the second delivery (and the full cost was already paid). So the leg edges are not very rounded, and one of them left a nasty bruise when a family member bumped her head. As well, the bottom of the table has sharp edges and is largely unfinished. That might be appropriate for the back of a cabinet which no one will ever see or touch, but the underside of a desk does come in contact with the human body, and deserves a better finish.

Michael was really a pleasure to work with; he took initiative to understand what I really wanted out of my project, and he provided several updates with photos along the way. The deal he gave me on the desk was phenomenal!

He did an excellent job staining and finishing my desk, and everything came out exactly the way I wanted it.

I ordered a desk (and was going to buy a pull out tray separately) and he offered to make a surface for the pull out tray that would match the rest of the wood!

I would definitely order from him again.
