This table was custom built for the customer based on several photos and ideas. The top of the table is walnut which has no finish other than oil. The base of the table, including the legs, is built from reclaimed pine. The finishing process involved staining the pine walnut, then applying two coats of coffee-white paint. The paint was then distressed and additional walnut stain was applied. Following that a satin clear coat was applied. This was one table my wife had trouble saying goodbye to when the customer picked it up.

Cooper's Custom Projects is a small wood shop where we have a passion for building well-constructed kitchen and dining room tables, coffee tables, unique shelves, entertainment centers, console tables, children's furniture, toys and more.
Ours is a home-based business, so we have lower overhead but still have a high-quality process and facility with a large shop and dedicated clean paint-room.
We specialize in building rustic and homey furniture, but also have experience with built-ins, cabinets, and modern furniture. We also build most of our projects out of reclaimed wood to help the Earth and to give your new piece some added history and character.
Depending on your needs we source new or reclaimed wood from local mills in New England.
Cooper's Custom Projects also has a passion for finishes, both painted and stained. We know that it takes more time to apply the finish to most projects than it did to build it and we love to spend that time making your project look amazing and last a lifetime.
Drop us a line if you have any questions about what we can make for you!

For Stained Wood Desk With Specific DimensionsMichael was really a pleasure to work with; he took initiative to understand what I really wanted out of my project, and he provided several updates with photos along the way. The deal he gave me on the desk was phenomenal!
He did an excellent job staining and finishing my desk, and everything came out exactly the way I wanted it.
I ordered a desk (and was going to buy a pull out tray separately) and he offered to make a surface for the pull out tray that would match the rest of the wood!
I would definitely order from him again.

For Unique Rustic Floating ShelfsHappy with Mr. Cooper's work overall. Definitely was worth my time - I have a fantastic custom shelf that is such a near match to what I have already that it's indistinguishable, which I would never have imagined to be possible.
Very professional, great finished product and good value for the money in my estimation. I would happily do business with Cooper's Custom Projects again if I had need for another custom piece.

For Small cherry deskMichael is a talented woodworker and a real pleasure to work with. Throughout the project he communicated with me clearly and often, helping me envision exactly the desk I needed, keeping me informed about progress, and asking for my input when needed.
The result is terrific, a small desk I will use and appreciate for a very long time.
I highly recommend Michael.

For cutting tableI couldn't be happier with the cutting table Michael made for my sewing studio. From discussing the initial design, to advising what types of wood and finish he thought would best fit my needs, he was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. He was professional, kind, and communicative. Best of all, he makes beautiful furniture! I hope to work with him again.
