Rustic Island With French Country Painted Cabinets
This was a remodel job, we built all new cabinetry for this house. The style is european country painted & glazed with a contracting distressed, rustic island stained dark and black glaze. This kitchen has a floor to ceiling pantry and display wall of cabinetry with hidden microwave and a stemware rack. The island was huge, we designed the island to be as big as possible with the granite the home owner choose over 10ft x 5ft wide plus a small bookcase for her cookbooks. The island has storage along the whole back side at the seating area, with pull-outs for easy accessing and a hidden outlet on the livingroom side. The stove hood was built out of rustic pine with a arched plaster top, which was designed to display her roaster and hen. The basement bar is in the same room as their media room, all distressed rustic cabinetry.

We really enjoy designing and building projects that are unique to each customer. We do everything from modern to rustic, one little end table or mantel, to cabinetry for the entire house. Our finishing process is stained, painted, glazed, antiqued, or anything in-between for the finishing touches and we use conversion varnish finish for the top coats. We can design something for you, or if you already have the design, we can build it!

We were frustrated working with a middle man, so we found and contacted Don and Heather, and asked them to make our new beam exactly to our specifications. They did, and it is beautiful! The craftsmanship is of the highest quality. It is exactly what we were looking for. We live in Minnesota, but working with a manufacturer in Missouri was not a problem at all.
