Custom Wood Mantel Shelf
Size is 5 inches high x 6 inches deep x various lengths. (Choose at check out) This mantel has a modern clean line look with a little bit of old world character. Each shelf is unique as we build and distress each piece by hand. They look great with either modern or rustic décor. It is stained Jacobean color with a black glaze to highlight the distressing and three coats of furniture finish that will not yellow over time. The distressing can be heavy to light depending on what you would like. We construct these out of 3/4" solid poplar wood and 3/4" plywood top and bottom. They are glued and screwed together to make a very strong shelf. Please note: **This shelf will be built for you when we receive your order.*** We provide a wood bracket, screws and instructions for installation. These are very sturdy shelving when mounted to wall studs. If you would like a quote for another size not listed, please contact us.

We are a truly custom cabinetry/furniture and woodworking shop, family owned and operated. Our online store specializes in custom fireplace mantels and floating shelves.
We really enjoy designing and building projects that are unique to each customer. We do everything from modern to rustic, one little end table or mantel, to cabinetry for the entire house. Our finishing process is stained, painted, glazed, antiqued, or anything in-between for the finishing touches and we use conversion varnish finish for the top coats. We can design something for you, or if you already have the design, we can build it!

For Walnut Modern Fireplace Mantel4.8We could NOT be happier than we are with the beautiful, walnut beam fireplace mantel we purchased Custom Corners (Heather and Don). We needed some odd dimensions on the beam (our contractors had left some room to recess the beam) but Heather and Don came through and provided exactly what we needed. I couldn't quite make up my mind on the stain and Heather helped me pick a color that's perfect; I'm afraid without her guidance I would have gone darker than I did and I'm glad I didn't. It's just the right color for our fireplace surround. I didn't speak to Don but it was a pleasure working with Heather. I'm not sure what average turn around time is but with shipping, I think we had our beam within a few weeks. Heather knew we were in a hurry and I think they went above and beyond to get our mantel done quickly for us. I spoke with a couple different suppliers and I'm really pleased with the price we paid…it was very reasonable. Finally, our contractor and several of his crew commented that I had "done well" ordering that beam myself. They were impressed as well and I'm certain I saved money handling that separately as opposed to having it custom made in the area where I live. I highly recommend Custom Corners!! Sue F.
