This listing is for a custom box beam walnut mantel, you can choose the length and color. (please see picture with stain choices) Walnut wood is just simply a beautiful wood, even without stain. One of our favorites to work with too. The one pictured here is stained Special walnut which is the best color if you are looking for a natural look to the walnut. Stain samples available via snail mail upon request & once you place your order. Size is: 5 inches in height x 7 inches deep x various lengths (Custom sizes available too) These walnut wood mantels we build to show the beauty of the wood without nails (or putty spots) on the exterior, mitered corners so that the grain of the wood wraps from the sides to the face seamlessly, it is hand sanded to a fine finish and then a stain is applied. The final finish is non yellowing furniture grade finish. It is constructed out of 3/4" solid American (black)walnut wood face and 3/4" black walnut veneer top & bottom. Glued and screwed from the back side and is hollow in the middle. Please note: *This shelf will be built for you after we receive your order.* We provide a wood bracket, screws, and instructions to install it yourself on a drywall stud wall. If you would like a quote for another size or wood type, please contact me and I will send you a quote. The other woods we have right now are: Cherry, Oak, White oak, Poplar, Maple, Sapele and Walnut. We can also buy other specialty woods if you wood like something else. We really enjoy designing and building projects that are unique to each customer. We do everything from modern to rustic, one little end table or mantel, to cabinetry for the entire house. Our finishing process is stained, painted, glazed, antiqued, or anything in-between for the finishing touches and we use conversion varnish finish for the top coats. We can design something for you, or if you already have the design, we can build it!

For Walnut Modern Fireplace Mantel. Walnut Mantle.5.0First off, I want to give a little background about my project. I tried to get a custom mantel made through Etsy. I sent countless emails to the builder with detailed dimensions and even photos of what I wanted. The builder would email me back once every few days, and seemed confused with just 3 simple dimensions that I requested. In the final email from the builder, I was told that my mantel would have to be built on site, and no further correspondence was excepted or answered. So at this point, I knew I had to go a different route. It took me numerous Google searches until I came across Custommade.com. (Custom Corners LLC. was the builder of my mantel) The correspondence with this builder was nothing short of spectacular. I believe the whole transaction from describing what I wanted, to paying for it, took only 3 days. I even changed the dimensions of what I wanted, twice, with no hassle whatsoever. How this mantel was built, finished, and packaged should be the blueprint of how business should be done. I cannot wait to hang this on my wall.
