Floating Shelving With Brackets
This is an example of a couple project we've done that are thin floating shelves. Most we do at 2 1/4" thick. Custom size length and depths available. Wood we have: Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Oak and Poplar. We construct these out of solid 3/4" solid wood and veneer plywoods for the top and bottom that will match the face. Mitered corners on the ends. The brackets Don welds up with 3/8" and 1/4" steel custom for each peice. They are very sturdy. Over the past few years we have had a lot of requests for this type of shelf, but have not found very sturdy brackets to go with them…So, just like everything else Don builds (no, he never reads these listings :-) they are more than up to the task when he gets done with them.
