Hidden Storage Mantel, Knotted Walnut Fireplace Mantel With Drop Front Media Storage
*Knotted walnut beam style fireplace mantel with a drop front for component storage. Made from versatile American Knotted Walnut/Black Walnut. For a rustic look, tell us to leave all the knots and maybe even add some custom distressing! For a more clean or modern look, tell us to fill in the knots so it looks completely smooth. You'll still see the beautiful wood grain and unique detail. This mantel style features a drop front with soft-close hinges for storing items you would like to keep hidden. We can also add a wire grommet to the mantel for cords to go up to your TV if needed. Outside dimensions: 5 1/2 inches high x 7 inches deep x optional lengths. **We have a 72" long mantel already built and ready to be finished in your choice of color. It does have some really cool grain with black epoxy!** Inside storage area size: 4 inches high x 6 1/8 inches deep in the middle section. ** A NOTE ABOUT THE DEPTH: There is a mounting cleat located inside the back/top of left and right compartments that measures 1.5"x1.5". The middle compartment has the full depth and height available. SEE LAST PHOTO FOR MORE DETAILS. Please measure the size of your electronics (including the power cord - usually those stick out quite far) and then choose the size that's best for you. Most customers like to measure their components and then add 1.5 additional inches to the height and at least 1 additional inch for the depth. Once you have your measurements let us know if you need a custom size! Also, anything over 7 inches high will be a custom size and custom price. If you know you're going to need something that tall (hello Xbox) it can be done, but many like to take a look at this entertainment center listing. These can be customized in the size, wood, style, stain color, with or without distressing. We constructed this out of 3/4" solid Rustic Walnut wood. We use Festool Domino joints in the construction to make a very strong mantel, yet lighter then a solid beam & also easy to install. The finish is stained your color choice and top coats of furniture finish in a dull rub sheen. We provide screws and instructions for mounting on a regular wall.
