This piece was commissioned by Cook Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas for their new entry foyer. It was made with scrap glass in and on on a Plexiglas box, and is back-lit with a high-efficiency low-maintenance 12-volt LED light system.
David L. Zvanut Fine Art
Fused glass work is my primary focus, but I also work in leaded stained glass, found object sculpture, large abstract watercolors, and acrylic painting. I use glass to make custom lighting fixtures and chandeliers. Most of my material is scrap recycled from local leaded glass businesses. Musical themes predominate, but I am open to other imagery. I am able to incorporate text and personal photographs into my custom work.
In addition to glass, I make custom or reproduction lead castings for use with leaded glass panels.
David was great to work with and we were very happy with the results.
Very happy with my purchase. He communicated through the whole process and was very easy to work with on my custom order.
David is amazing to work with. I contacted him about creating a custom piece of art for me. He listened to exactly what I wanted and communicated with me quickly and frequently. I really appreciate him taking my ideas into consideration and giving me exactly what I wanted! I will definitely work with David again in the future and recommend that you do too.
Not only is the piece he made for us amazing but he was truly great to work with! Communication and customer service were great. I’d highly recommend him to others.
