This chandelier consists of 22 hollow blown glass balls suspended from a 36-inch wooden disk. The balls range in size from 4 inches to 8 inches. They are very bubbly and some have wispy white elements. There are also a few colored balls and some clear teardrop crystals. Six LED MR-16 lights shine down from the wooden disk. Distance from the disk to the bottom of the lowest ball is 33 inches. All aspects of this chandelier are fully customizable.

Fused glass work is my primary focus, but I also work in leaded stained glass, found object sculpture, large abstract watercolors, and acrylic painting. I use glass to make custom lighting fixtures and chandeliers. Most of my material is scrap recycled from local leaded glass businesses. Musical themes predominate, but I am open to other imagery. I am able to incorporate text and personal photographs into my custom work.
In addition to glass, I make custom or reproduction lead castings for use with leaded glass panels.

For Blown Glass Sphere ChandelierI am so happy with the chandelier David has made for me! He has been so helpful and professional. I had initially thought I wanted to design all of it myself, but quickly realized how complicated that would be, so without hesitation David came us with an AMAZING design and kept me updated every step of the way. The chandelier is so pretty and way more affordable than I thought it would be! I highly recommend him.

For Savanna's ChandelierWorking with David was an absolute pleasure. He took the time early on to really understand my vision, and made working with him so easy. His constant communication at every step of the way kept us completely involved and allowed us to take control of the project from a distance. He definitely went above and beyond personally driving our piece to Florida for delivery (from Texas!) and has left us with nothing but great things to say about him.
I'm already trying to dream up new projects just so we can work with him again and have more than one David Zvanut original in our home!

For Slumped Glass LampshadesWe were so impressed with the first slumped glass shade, we ordered another in a different color. It's as beautiful as the first one. Thanks David!

For Floor Lamp“Redbud Floor Lamp made by David L. Zvanut Fine Art”
When they brought in my new sofa at the beginning of this year, I was extremely pleased with how it fit on the wall. After a little time had passed, the beautiful picture frame paneling behind it began to feel like a stark canvas that needed to be adorned somehow. The wall, which previously was the backdrop for a big chair, an end table and a lamp, was suddenly this huge expanse of wood rising above and around the sofa, beautiful yet empty, and very dark once the sun went down in the evening. I needed to light the space and break up the bare wall. My first thought was to find a lamp that would sit to the side and reach out over the wall. I quickly realized that my only options were those metal or plastic “War of the Worlds”-looking floor lamps, and that just wasn’t what I wanted. So I came to Custom Made, honestly with little hope of actually finding someone to take on my project.
Once I submitted my idea, David Zvanut answered almost straight away. As we exchanged emails, the ideas for the lamp shifted and grew, from a simple side piece to a more dramatic project. Fortunately, his studio is only an hour or so away from my home. He came out to the house to see the space and just seemed to grasp what was needed right off. He was completely open to my ideas and was understanding about my desire to not deface the paneling in any way: I didn’t want to put nail holes in it, or mar it, and he worked out ways to avoid that. A week or two later he was back at the house, pulling this huge branch through my front door. I couldn’t see how he was possibly going to make that work, but with some turning and trimming, it was done. He took it back home with him and worked his magic. And it is fabulous. I never dared to dream of seeing such beautiful results.
I was, I am, so impressed with David’s commitment to the project, and his focus and dedication to doing this the right way. His attention to detail was boundless. He preserved the branch so that it will never be brittle: it is supple and pliant. We decided early on to keep the natural color and texture of the bark. David sealed this, and the patina is exquisite. When unlit, the lights look like little buds rather than something unnatural on the branches, and the wires are completely hidden. Sometimes the lights will catch my eye like tiny drops of dew. They are activated with a little remote control that includes a dimmer: they can be quite bright, almost enough to read by, or dimmed down to create a romantic ambience. The plug for the light system is somewhat bulky, and he even furnished an adapter so that the plug doesn’t stick out too far. David was amazing to work with. If there was a question or problem, he’d get with me and we’d work out possibilities. We communicated quite well through the whole process and he kept me constantly up to date with what he was doing. I would work with him again and highly recommend him.

For Shower SceneDavid made 2 panels for us and he was such a pleasure to work with. He gave us plenty of choices and we felt since he is the artist, he would have a good eye for what looks right and he did. We needed specific sizes and sent 2 pics of what we wanted and adjusted the proportions and size to fit perfectly.
Both panels came out perfect and we are very happy with them. Unfortunately, they were shipped by UPS (we have seen UPS delivery people throw packages in the past) and sure enough our 2 panels came with slightly broken glass but David took full responsibility, contacted a local craftsmen and had him pick them up for the repairs, sent him the particular glass he needed. No complaints about anything. We will deffinately use David again for our next project.Thank you David L. Zvanut. You are a true artist and have made us very happy.
