Square shaft style cane. The cane is made of tropical and domestic hardwoods. The maximum custom cane length for the walking cane is around 37" and may be made to your custom length. Please request cane length when inquiring. Very strong and sturdy, the cane handle is made of Spalted Maple wood (North America) and shaft is (Jatoba) Brazilian Cherry (South America) This smart looking piece has smooth simple lines. The cane handle has a very comfortable feel in the palm of the hand (handle measures 6 3/4" length, 1 " width, 2" height). Wood color is natural and the low luster top coat finish is tung oil and oil varnish. The rubber tip (7/8") has a steel insert to last a long time and replacements are found at drug or medical supply stores. The lathe turned bottom/ tip section is 8" in length. The handle and shaft are joined with mortise and tenon which extends 1 3/4" into the handle. # 48
