Cane is made of tropical and domestic hardwoods. The maximum custom cane length for the walking cane is around 42" and may be made to your custom length. Please request cane length when inquiring. Very strong and sturdy, the cane handle is East Indian Rosewood (6" section), and the shaft of this cane/stick is Cherry wood (North American). The cane handle measures about 1 7/8" in diameter and has a very comfortable feel in the palm of the hand. Wood color is natural and the low luister top coat finish is tung oil and oil varnish. The cane shaft/bottom is tapered and the rubber tip (7/8") has a steel insert to last a long time and replacements are found at drug or medical supply stores. The handle and shaft of the cane are joined with a steel dowel screw and epoxy glue making a very strong joint. Not only are walking canes/ sticks good for steadiness but they can also be used as a tool for personal protection. #3

The look on my husband's face was priceless. This is by far the best cane he had ever had. Beautiful doesn't begin to describe it. It's everything I hoped for. Charles is an amazing talent. My husband and I love it. It helps him stand up straighter and I feel safe knowing he has a cane that will last a lifetime.
Very happy with the finished knife. My brother will use on a daily basis
The blade and handle are fantastic. All aspects of the experience were outstanding. Charles was really friendly and communicated well. Between the messaging, and pictures, I knew exactly what I was getting. He was even kind enough to make a left-handed sheath for me.
From start to finish, working with Charles Cooke of Studio Northern Lights was a pleasure. He worked with me in selecting the best wood for the project. The quality of the completed conductor baton was excellent and it was shipped safely in a very timely manner. I am going to recommend him to other friends looking for finely crafted hand crafted gifts.
