Spear Point Hunter's - Stainless Steel Blade - Big Leaf Maple Burl Wood Handle

$110

A variety of woods are available for the handle. I am a woodworker not a metal smith so I leave the knife blade making to others. My job is to make a beautiful handle for your knife blade. I started with Big Leaf Maple burl wood. I attach the wood handle with three concealed brass pins and epoxy glue. I shape and then sand the wood handle silky smooth with up to 600 grit sand paper. I finish the handle with tung oil which makes the richness of the wood grain and color come out and gives a natural look. Then the handle is buffed with natural waxes. The color and figuring of the handle scales is really unusual and stunning to see, combined with the powerful feel of this knife, makes a really beautiful and functional piece of art. This fixed blade is made commercially by Wood River Knives from 6A high carbon stainless steel. This high-quality knife is 8-1/2" overall length; 4-1/4 blade length, is single edged and has a false edge on the back just for looks! This is a great general-purpose hunting, fishing or camping knife. Google Wood River Knives for technical information about their blades. For shipping in the USA; I use first class mail with delivery tracking. Special arrangements with me for Priority mail, Express mail, mail insurance, or signature confirmation. Handmade knife sheath is included in purchase price. Brown sheath or other designs may be available for this knife upon request. Customer may purchase knife with out sheath, subtract $20.00.
