Great gift for a favorite music teacher! Overall length: 12" or 14" your choice Handle length: 2 3/4" Handle width at widest point : 7/8" Shaft diameter: 1/4" tapers to 1/8" Comes in clear plastic storage tube. I turned this music conductors baton on my wood lathe. The handle is Ebony wood. The baton shaft is made of poplar wood. Wood color is natural. The handle wood is finished with cyanoacrylate adhesive (super glue) which is hard durable and water resistant finish. The baton shaft is finished with a water based clear finish. Both top coat finishes remain clear over time. Have a favorite wood type or require a different length baton?
