This square shaft cane is made of tropical hardwood. The maximum custom cane length for the walking cane is around 37" and may be made to your custom length. Please request cane length when inquiring. Very strong and sturdy, the cane is made of Concalo Alves (Tigerwood). Forty percent of Tiger wood lack any striping so this is an especially nice specimen! The cane handle has a very comfortable smooth feel in the palm of the hand (handle measures 7" length, 1 " width, 2" height). Wood color is natural and the low luster top coat finish is tung oil and oil varnish. The rubber tip has a steel insert to last a long time and one can find replacements at drug or medical supply stores. This cane is one that you will be proud to show off! The lathe turned bottom/ tip section is 10 1/4" in length. The handle and shaft are joined with mortise and tenon which extends 1 3/4" into the handle. #68 Each wood example is unique, no exact duplicates can be made.
