Square shaft style walking cane. The maximum custom cane length for the walking cane is around 38" and may be made to your custom length. Please request cane length when inquiring. Very strong and sturdy, the cane handle is made of Spalted Maple (North America) and shaft is Cherry (North America). This smart looking piece has smooth simple lines. The handle has a very comfortable feel in the palm of the hand (handle measures 6" length, 1" width, 2" height). Wood color is natural and the low luster top coat finish is tung oil and oil varnish. The rubber tip (7/8") has a steel insert to last a long time and replacements are found at drug or medical supply stores. The lathe turned shaft/bottom section is tapered. The handle and shaft are joined with mortise and tenon which extends 1 3/4" into the handle. # 43
