Great gift for a favorite music teacher! Overall length: 12" to 14" Handle length: 2 1/4" Handle width at widest point : 7/8" Shaft diameter: 1/4" tapers to 1/8" Comes bubble wrapped and in a mailing tube. I turned this music conductors baton on my wood lathe. The handle is a cocobolo wood and the shaft is made of poplar wood. The cocobolo wood handle is finished with cyanoacrylate adhesive (super glue) which is hard durable and water resistant finish. The baton shaft is finished with a water based clear finish. Both top coat finishes remain clear over time. Have a favorite wood type or require a different length baton? Let me know what you are searching for. I do not glue the tip to the handle until just before shipping so length changes can be quickly made.

The look on my husband's face was priceless. This is by far the best cane he had ever had. Beautiful doesn't begin to describe it. It's everything I hoped for. Charles is an amazing talent.
