This cane is made of tropical hardwoods. The maximum custom cane length for the walking cane is around 37" and may be made to your custom length. Please request cane length when inquiring. Very strong and sturdy, the cane handle is made of Amazakoue wood (West Africa) and shaft is Cumaru/Brazilian Teak and accented with African Blackwood. The handle measures 6" across, 1 " width, 2" height. Wood color is natural and the low luster top coat finish is tung oil and oil varnish. The rubber tip (7/8") and replacements are found at drug or medical supply stores. The handle and tapered shaft are joined with mortise and tenon which extends 1 3/4" into the handle Both woods are very hard, dense, and heavy and they will polish to a shine just by sanding it. #81 International shipping can be expensive because of the length of the package.
