This cane is made of tropical Hardwoods. Cane can be shortened up to 6" to 35 1/4". This walking stick/cane is top is made of East Indian rosewood and Ebony, the shaft is Bolivian rosewood. The cane measures 41 1/4" in length. The top section is 3" length and diameter of the knob is about 2". Wood color is natural and the durable top coat finish is CA glue finish commonly used by wood turners. The shaft of the cane is tapered; the rubber tip (7/8"), and replacements are found at drug or medical supply stores. The handle and shaft of the cane are joined with a steel dowel screw and epoxy glue making a very strong joint. Not only are walking sticks/canes good for steadiness but they can also be used as a tool for personal protection. #90
