Everyone here in the shop gets to bring their dogs to work so we usually have @12 dogs running around. All rescues. Also our shop cats are all rescues. We love pets! This beautiful "Somni" bed gives dynamic new life to a retired wine barrel. We take one of our Napa barrels and carefully screw the rings to the barrel then cut it before sanding and sealing it with 3 coats of a durable UV sealer. The deep red of the staves, earned during years of wine production, really stands out and the wine barrel rings lend a wonderful design element. The resulting art piece makes a perfect bed for our furry friends! Barrel oak—one side natural and one stained deep red only by its years of wine production—really lends a rich character; bound by the barrel ring, it reminds us of the wood's glorious past. This version is not quite a half barrel and our larger dogs like it better than our half barrel bed as they can spread out more. Also we call it a pet bed as ours is used more by our cats than dogs, even at the shop. Perfect for a gaggle of kittens. We carefully choose a barrel that has great markings and character. Each one is different and we try to find ones that have the best color and designs and we can make it rustic or high end depending on your design needs. We decided not to offer the pillows and pads as everyone has a closet full of them as Etsy has some amazing artists who can hand make a custom pad for your exact needs.
