Reminiscent of the works of Mondrian, our STUDIO Collection plays with bold color and texture, creating modern sculptural pieces that are both artistic and utilitarian. Completely made from retired Napa wine barrel rings and recycled materials. The "Musa" mirror is handcrafted from recycled wine barrel rings. We cut dozens of barrel rings into small pieces then carefully weld them together to create this work of art. The wood frame is constructed from recycled wine stained planks, which are a byproduct of the wine industry. These beautiful oak planks were originally used to flavor giant tanks of wine (think 270,000 gallons!) as well as regular barrels that have lost their flavor. During wine production, the oak planks soak in the wine for a year or more. The type of wine determines the resulting color. Beautiful and elegant, it highlights the dark red wine color and is a wonderful melding of organic and industrial art. Securely bolted together and covered in several layers of a clear UV sealer, it is ready to hang in your wine cellar or to bring wine country into your home or business.
