"Great Room" Display Cabinet
This was a large cabinet made for a 25 foot tall great room. The customer wanted something that anchored the wall in such a tall space so the cabinet is 12 feet wide by 11 feet tall. The customer also wanted an area to have a large tv but make it hidden most of the time. The TV is in the middle and is hidden by a false back panel that slides up behind the upper display area and is on counter weights that go up and down inside the fluted columns. When the tv is not in use she puts a large flower display in the space. Pediment has a personalized cartouche with the families last initial. The piece is made from European beech and is oiled and waxed.
