A place to hide small things of importance. This box is crafted out of a single piece of Honduran Rosewood, so upon first inspection, it seems to be just a rectangular piece of wood. The interior pull out portion is spring loaded; when the latch is engaged the interior shoots out a short distance, enabling you to grab hold and slide out the rest of the way. The bottom is lined with Port Orford Cedar, which adds a very pleasant scent. There is such a pleasure in just opening and closing these boxes, something calming and therapeutic almost about the perfect fit. Interior Dimensions: 3 7/8" L x 7/8"W x 1/2"D This is a special piece of rift sawn Honduran Rosewood. I have other woods available, and can get many more, just email me if you're interested in something different.

I'm a trained woodworker and furniture maker operating in the San Francisco Bay Area. I received my formal training at the world renowned College of the Redwoods Fine Woodworking program, right here in Northern California. I build custom pieces from commission and on spec.
My furniture pays close attention to the details; the lines on a piece, the negative spaces, the details that your fingertips find first.
