Walnut Box With Zebrawood Inlay
Wooden boxes may seem like plain home accessories, but I always have fun making them. I think that they are great-looking pieces that provide added storage – something that many of us need. This particular box is made of walnut hardwood, which I assembled using only wooden dowels. I added a beautiful zebrawood inlay to give the box more character. You can keep your prized possessions inside this box as it can be locked. This piece measures 12" in length, 4.5" in width, and 5" in height.

For Wood Keepsake box4.2My experience with this project was was fantastic! I would recommend working with Good Shepard Woodworking to anyone. I had as much input as I needed, yet he is creative and was able to provide great suggestions and work through any issues that came up. If anyone was lacking in communication, it was me. From the Timeline to the professionalism and input and ideas to the overall value of the final project, everyone was wonderful!
If I could change anything, it would be the shipping. Shipping via the Post Office instead of FedEx to Chicago is always rough. I don't blame Good Shepard for this, the U.S. Postal Service in Chicago is just slow.
Overall, a fantastic experience and I can't wait to have a new project to work on!

From initial engagement, he was eager, responsive and guided us through all the questions we had about our piece. Our piece, which was an oversized coffee table - and rather unique - required someone with top caliber craftsmanship, and an eye to detail. Terry was the perfect guy for the job. After delivery, I can honestly and confidently say we made the right decision, and will definitely work with him again on future projects.
P.S. When we say unique, the piece was a 68" x 62" coffee table and that was a beast to ship, but Terry packed it up perfectly. Apparently, no job too big! Thanks Terry!
