Our shop is located above 7000 feet in the mountains of Vail Valley. A few steps out our back door will lead you into the Colorado sunshine, down to a rushing river. We are inspired by the beauty of our natural environment. Our favorite pieces to craft have a clean, rustic feel. When placed in a Vail Valley home, they create an inviting atmosphere for our neighbors, and the guests they host throughout the year.
With over 10 years of crafting experience, Greg’s formal training came from The University of Rio Grande in Rio Grande, Ohio. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology with an emphasis in Fine Woodworking.
Greg’s scenery has certainly changed over the years from his beginnings in Westmont, IL. But if you ask Greg, he will tell you Vail Valley is where his heart is.
Like any good resident of the Vail Valley, Greg does turn the shop sign to, “Closed,” every once in awhile, so he and the Vail Custom Woodworking team can enjoy the myriad of adventures available just outside our door. We are continuously inspired through rock climbing, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, and simply enjoying the natural beauty that surrounds us.
