This little table is in 3 pieces: a reclaimed Ash top and 2 Oak base pieces that intersect and lock together. It's easy to put together and take apart but doesn't have that cheesy look that most folding tables have. Would be great for pulling out for parties, but looks good enough to leave out all the time. Minimalist, modern style lets the beautiful wood grain shine.

Growing up on what I like to refer to as a "hobby farm" in Granville, Ohio, I started out building tree stands and little bridges in the woods as soon as I was able to understand what a saw was and use it. I worked rough construction from the age of 16, but it wasn't until I came to California to build a Buddhist temple that I started to realize my passion for fine woodwork, and learn more about the craft.
Years later, bringing more beauty and functionality into day to day life is the goal. The shop is at Alameda Point Studios, a beautiful space with a view of the San Francisco Bay, and chock full of powerful, finely tuned tools and good people. I take pride in creating custom furniture and cabinetry, with an eye on sustainability for the earth and workers.
After almost 5 years immersed in Tibetan Buddhist art and philosophy and subsequent years of working for myself, the importance of the whole process of building is apparent. That includes a comfortable working relationship with clients and designers as well as bringing tangible, quality results, on time.
We do furniture pieces as well as residential and commercial cabinetry and architectural elements. Some notable commercial clients include The America's Cup, Kenwood Winery, Superbowl 50 Host Committee, Craftsman and Wolves, Cellarmaker Brewing Company, and The Good Hop.
Let me know if you see anything in my portfolio that you'd like to tweak, or if you have ideas you'd like to turn into reality.
Looking forward to working together.

For Small Floating Bathroom Shelf/CabinetNathaniel crafted a fantastic little cabinet for me and delivered it personally. I was looking for something the provide some extra storage space in my small bathroom that matched some existing pieces and hide a poorly placed electrical outlet and my curling iron plugged into it. He was very patient with all of my questions and even some changes in design. He offered great technical solutions to my ideas and installed some very cool inset hinges. The finished product is exactly as I imagine and looks fantastic! Bonus was being able to support a local craftsman!

For Solar Panel TableNathaniel was very professional and delivered a quality product. The project was unusual and it was difficult to find a carpenter willing to put in the extra effort and innovation to make my dream come to life. From start to finish, Nathaniel communicated very well and walked me through the design phase very patiently. My only critique was the timeliness of the projject but then again, that was due to sickness so quite understandable. Overall, I am very happy with my experience and would recommend Nathaniel to anyone who is looking to have a quality piece of furniture.
