The bride for this dress is getting married for a second time. She didn't want the traditional style wedding dress. She loves feathers and the Mardi Gras colors so the peacock theme was what we went with. The original picture that we went with to mimic is nothing like what we finally wound up designing! The dress is two pieces. The top corset and the bottom skirt. The skirt is full enough to hold a 6 foot hoop skirt (hers is only 2 feet in diameter!). We altered the back of dress to show a modesty panel. The original pattern has no straps either. Those were added for support for her. The feathers are embroidered and the jewels are all hand placed on. The trim on the bottom of the corset is the same that goes down the front of the panel on the skirt. I know she loved it when she broke down crying and saying how much she loved it =)

Custom sewing at its best! I do everything from basic mending to creating your dream wedding dress and everything in between. From cushions, to prom to curtains to Dance costumes, I can do it all.
I started sewing when I was in high school as a way to express my creative side. Both my mom and grandma were seamstresses and I found that I was pretty good at it too. While I never gave it up, life got to be hectic. We lost my younger brother when I was a senior in High School and then with college, getting married and having children it just got set off to the side.
Our first born was named Anthony Peter on January 8th, 2010. My aunt, who is determined to give every child born in my family a nickname, dubbed him Tony Bud (short for Anthony and Peter - my brother who we named him after and who had the nickname Bud - yes by the same aunt). Two months later my husband lost his job. In a way, I guess the saying "Necessity is the Mother of Invention" greatly applied to what would follow in our lives.
As it happened, my next door neighbor at the time needed new outdoor cushions made for her patio. I, in passing, said I knew how to make them. She was elated and went out that day, bought all the materials and wrote me a check for my service. It was at that point that I realized I could turn what was once a hobby into a business.
Later that same year, I started doing craft shows. We didn't have a name picked out yet for the business and when we were asked, my husband and I looked at each other and said "Tony Bud's". Thus Tony Bud's Sewing was born.
It has been 5 years now since I started sewing again on a full time basis. We now have three growing boys and run a "in town" farm with my parents. Our lives are full and very blessed.
I take great pride in what I make. For that reason alone, all of my projects always come with my personal satisfaction guarantee. You will always receive pictures of your item before final payment is due. Based on the measurements you send me, the item is guaranteed to fit. If alterations are necessary, I will cover the cost of said alterations.
I have helped to create stunning dresses for women, great coats for men, as well as something as simple as a blanket for a new mommy to be. I try not to limit myself in what I can do and I am always happy to work with anyone that needs custom work done. I strive to make your dream and vision a reality. I look forward to the years ahead and the many new people that my family and I will meet along the way.

For Sheer nylon and lace black robe ProjectWorking with Becky on the project was great! I really had little more than an idea to work with and Becky made suggestions and sent drawings and available materials and literally held my hand as she and I designed the robe from the ground up. I could never have done it without her patient guidance, direction and ideas. She was extremely quick to respond to emails and always pleasant and helpful. I could not have asked for a better or more qualified person to work with to complete the robe. It was finished on time and delivered quickly, as promised. Very professional, very knowledgeable.
MK Beam
For MK's CostumeBecky was good to work with, and we would recommend her. She made 2 custom jumpsuits that she had to try to replicate based on photos of suits that are no longer made or widely available. She and her team did a good job replicating the pattern, and she was very accommodating when we gave her feedback about what to change after she provided sample images.

For Debbie's CostumeThis project turned out better than I envisioned and was impressed with the quality of work done. Even when there were personal issues, they were still able to get me my dress in a timely manner and kept in communication with me.
Pauline Pappas
For Pauline's Grace Kelly Rear Window Replica DressBecky is an amazing seamstress. She made my Titanic dress first, and I returned for my next project, Grace Kelly's "Rear Window" dress and was blown away by the accurateness of the skirt. This looks spot on to the original piece with my added changes.
I am very happy with the dress. Becky made it very clear what my options were for your needs and wants and helped establish your plan within your budget. All materials and labor costs were discussed and a price was reached that was more than fair. As a returning customer, I received 10 percent off my total order!
If you have any question at all, she will answer it, and put you at ease during the entire process. she's recommended products to help preserve my dresses and will give you care instructions.
I received my order later than I was supposed to and didn't go to a fitting, but Becky informed me as soon as she could. I was very grateful to not be left in the dark. The whole team at TBS is very respectful and just as excited about your project as you are. I will be coming back for sure to work with Becky again.
